Armed Forces Covenant
Supporting the Armed Forces Community
At Ubico, we recognise the important contribution made by the Armed Forces and their families to our nation, local communities and our business.
As a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, we are committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces community. The Covenant reflects our commitment to ensuring that no member of the Armed Forces community faces disadvantage due to their service, while recognising that additional support may be appropriate in some circumstances, particularly for those who have been injured or bereaved.
We recognise the valuable skills, experience and dedication that members of the Armed Forces community bring to the workplace. Through our commitment to the Covenant, we support:
- Serving members of the Armed Forces
- Reservists
- Veterans
- Military spouses and partners
- Wounded, injured and sick personnel
Their leadership, teamwork, resilience and commitment strengthen our organisation and help us deliver essential services to the communities we provide services to.
Our Commitment
As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, we will:
- Develop and maintain a Reservist Forces Policy
- Engage with the Career Transition Partnership to support veterans transitioning into civilian careers
- Build relationships with local Armed Forces units and organisations
- Signpost members of the Armed Forces community to relevant support services
- Work collaboratively with organisations that support the Covenant and the wider Armed Forces community
- Support and promote initiatives such as Armed Forces Day, Reserve Forces Day and remembrance activities

Creating an Inclusive Workplace
Supporting the Armed Forces community forms part of our broader commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and supported. We are proud to recognise the contribution that serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families make to Ubico and remain committed to providing opportunities that help them thrive within our organisation. We understand leaving the services can be a time of significant change. To help and support those transitioning from service to civilian life, we offer a guaranteed interview for those who meet the criteria. We also work with services such as the Career Transition Partnership to support individuals transitioning into their civilian role and to ensure our recruitment process supports this transition.
We are also pleased to offer access to an employee assistance programme to all colleagues (and their families) which provides confidential advice and counselling, as well as access to occupational health services, if required.
"As a business, we are incredibly fortunate to already benefit from the skills, experience and dedication provided by colleagues who have served in the Armed Forces. Signing the Armed Forces Covenant formally recognises the valuable contribution that veterans, reservists and military families make to Ubico and the communities we serve. We are committed to building on this pledge and ensuring these individuals have the opportunities and support they deserve."
