Ubico celebrates ISO re-accreditation

We are delighted to report that we have received re-accreditation of the prestigious ISO award in recognition of our health and safety management system and our environmental management system. This was following an audit at our sites in Cheltenham, South Cerney, Witney, Stroud and Gloucester.

ISO45001 is an international standard that outlines the requirement for health and safety management systems, providing a framework to enable organisations to protect their workforce and manage health and safety risks effectively. Similarly, ISO1400, provides a framework for organisations to design and implement an environmental management system, and continually improve their environmental performance.

Ubico operates in what is statistically one of the highest health and safety risk industry sectors in the UK and health and safety activity is the highest priority throughout the company, particularly in operational areas. Ubico’s journey to ISO accreditation started in 2016 with, with the company becoming ISO accredited to ISO14001 in 2017 and ISO 45001 in 2019. Over the past 6 years we have continued to achieve high standards in the areas of health and safety and environmental management, receiving re accreditation every year.

In 2021, we established the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team to support our operations and ambitions in health and safety and the environment.

Beth Boughton, Managing Director at Ubico said:

I am delighted that we, once again, have maintained our high standards in both health and safety and the environment, as evidenced by our re-accreditation to the ISO standard in these areas. Health and safety remains our number one priority and having a safe working environment, and the systems to manage this is key. Re-accreditation is testament to the hard work of my colleagues at Ubico”
